Open daily between 11.00am and 11.00pm we also serve a mainly traditional English menu of superb, wholesome locally sourced food and ranging from delicious sandwiches to an extensive choice of meal to be enjoyed perhaps in our delightful 30 seat Paddock Restaurant overlooking the River Eea where popular favourites include succulent Aberdeen Angus Steaks and a range of uniquely flavoured sausages from our local farmer, Brian Jackson of Templand Farm, Allithwaite (www.templandfarm.co.uk). Alternatively our constantly changing Specials Board includes gastronomic delights such as Kendal Rough Fell Lamb served with locally produced vegetables and a Cumberland Port Sauce and the traditional theme continues with our homemade Sticky Toffee Pudding, very boozy Trifle and with Tiramisu “coming up on the outside” as one of the more recent favourites.
